As Brother Vern wraps up the 2022 Indigenous Faith Summer Leader's Conference sessions, he leaves those in the audience, and all the rest of us listening in, with a strong reminder that God has left us here as heaven's movie trailer to help draw the interest of men and women to come to Christ before its too late. As he said to the audience, When you leave here today, we hope you'll go with confidence, not in the materials we've presented, but in the Word of God! Once again, Brother Vern nailed it! What does the Word say to us as we reach the finish line of this series? Without hesitation, Brother Vern reminds us of our responsibility to be salt and light in the world. Salt, because of its preserving attributes, and light, because of its penetrating effect into a world filled with darkness. Salt permeates whatever it touches. Light penetrates whatever it is directed to. That's our main responsibility, as Indigenous believers in Christ, in our communities and cultures until Christ returns! Let's be diligent with a singular focus to honor God in our lives and help rescue those, as the Scriptures tell us, who are tottering towards the slaughter!
