Your client is struggling to squat... what do you do?

Trainers are movement mechanics. Much like a car mechanic, they see a problem/dysfunction (I like to think of these as roadblocks) and then they determine a solution and get to work. Trainers need to be able to determine the SOURCE of the roadblock and then apply an intervention that will actually elicit change. The challenge is that troubleshooting movement roadblocks really isn't covered in most personal training certifications and it is simply a non-negotiable skill to excel in this field.

In this episode, I detail the three big categories of potential roadblocks (Structural/anatomical, Tissue, Motor learning/Neuromuscular), some examples, and the kinds of interventions you would use to address these. These will help you take the guesswork out of programming for your client and help you get them to their goals faster.
