Hüstin Laku, Sr. is an International Development and Conflict Analyst. Hüstin was deployed 6 times in Ukraine (last time in 2019) as an international staff member for the Organization for Security and Economic Cooperation in Europe. He is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dream Keepers Award. Hüstin speaks Arabic, French, and German, and reads and writes Greek and Hebrew. Justin was a member staff of the United Nations mission in Iraq and Sudan and a former advisor to the Canadian Secretary of State for Africa and Latin America and Asia Pacific. He is also a former staff of the Canadian International Development Agency. He is a founding member of African Diaspora Association of Canada. Justin has lectured on Sudanese, South Sudanese, and African issues in the United States, Canadian universities, Rome, Berlin, Innsbruck, Geneva, London, Slovenia and Amsterdam.
