There's a miracle at the beginning of this Sunday's sermon text in Matthew 12:22-29. Jesus drives a demon out of a man; a demon that was causing the man to be blind and mute. Can you imagine? Blind to every physical input around him, and unable to give any verbal output. It was as if he was trapped in a prison the size of his own body. And Jesus drove out that demon.
We all have inner demons. There are some, however, that are more covert than others. This Sunday's sermon discovers the ways in which the inner demon of pride blinds us and mutes us to real living. More importantly, this Sunday we will see the incredibly healing truth of how great our pride is in Jesus. He is our crown. Jesus is our crown, and our only pride.
