Saints this has been a week of transformation with significant ramifications for the people in our neighborhoods.

The neighbors worldwide have been shaken by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.  Back in America neighbors are happy with the easing of COVID restrictions with the hope that a more normal life can return. Neighbors in our African American community are rejoicing because Ketanji Brown Jackson, a black woman has been nominated to become an Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court.

Jesus went up the mountain taking Peter, John, and James with him to pray.  In prayer, Jesus was transformed the appearance of his face changed and his clothes became dazzling white.  Then the voice of the Lord came booming from the cloud saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to him!”

Tomorrow at Greater Saint Peter we will listen to the Word of God which will help us make some sense of the transitions from this week.  As we celebrate The Transfiguration of our Lord in a sermon from Psalm 99:1-5 and Luke 9:28-36 entitled: Who Is Your Neighbor?

Services start at 10:00 AM come see us in person at 9540 Fayetteville Road in Jonesboro, Georgia or join us on Facebook at GSP9540. So, until tomorrow blessings, peace, and love.
