A fool is defined as person who acts unwisely or imprudently. Fools come in many sizes, shapes and bank accounts.
Elon Musk, the South African born billionaire who owns Tesla the electric car company and SpaceX the private rocket company is now being called a rich fool because of something he does not own Twitter.
In a crazy entanglement of ego, power and money. Musk announced his intention to buy Twitter only to be block by social media giant. A change of heart ensued and Twitter welcomed Musk as owner. Recently Musk announced that he no longer has an interest in acquiring the company now both sides are in court. Now many people are calling the billionaire a rich fool.
Jesus understands foolish behavior. In The Parable Of The Rich Fool he sends the message that worldly and earthly possessions have no place in the kingdom of God.
Regardless of our finances we can all be fools when we peruse the material riches of the world over the salvation of Jesus.
The question for all of us is where are our riches? Are there in earthly or heavenly treasures? Your answer will determine more than if you are a fool but more importantly your salvation.
