Black Americans are disproportionately affected by dementia. Older black Americans are twice as likely as older whites to have Alzheimer's or another dementia.  Among Black Americans ages 70 and older, 21.3% are living with Alzheimer's or another dementia.

Alzheimer's and Dementia strips away the cognitive functioning of thinking, remembering, and reasoning.  It interferes with daily life activities rendering people unable to control their emotions, making many incapables of remembering their own names.

But God knows our names our story and our lives.  Psalm 139 says Lord you searched me and known me.  You know when I sit down and when I rise up you discern my thoughts from far away.

Tomorrow at Greater Bethel we will talk about how God knows us even when don’t know ourselves in a teaching from Psalm 139 entitled He knows My Name.

Worship with us in person at 11:00 AM.  We are at 140 Rose Street in Athens. Join our stream by liking our Facebook page or subscribing to our YouTube channel.   Where you can watch our early sermon streaming Saturday at 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM and again on Sunday at 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

So until then blessings, peace and love.
