Paul in Ephesians 4:1 exhorts us to live in “a manner worthy of the calling with which we were called.”
We are called by Jesus to live lives of equality, equity, and equal opportunity, all in the glow of God’s love.
However, it seems that the world has called us to live greedy lives filled with inequality, denied equity along with opportunity that is separate and unequal. Motivated by a lie of racial supremacy that can blind us to the love of God.
In this chaos, there is hope, because the call of Jesus is more powerful than the call of the world.
Softly and tenderly, Jesus is calling. His persistent call is that we can live better lives. We can live free of the slavery of white supremacy, the fear of equality while operating in the truth of the Lord instead of the big lie of a defeated president and his followers.
Jesus is calling, exhorting us to live in a manner worthy of the calling of God.
