On December 6, Georgians will complete the voting season to elect our next United States Senator.
I call it a voting season because early voting starts on November 28 and in some counties it will start earlier.
Under Georgia election law, runoff elections are heled when no candidate secured at least 50% of the vote. That is why we are voting again on December 6th
“Be Alert And Of Sober Mind” is the advice given by Peter to the early church.
This advice is timely today as we enter this voting season. For you see, I believe the runoff between Hershel Walker and Raphael Warnock is about three things competence, capability, and character.
Being of an alert and of sober mind when evaluating the senate candidates. The choice is clear.
Reverend Warnock has the superior competence, Reverend Warnock has the superior capability and Reverend Warnock has the superior character to represent Georgia as our voice in the United States Senate.
Being of alert and sober mind I bring to you my choice for U.S. Senate with the clear understand that is up to you to be alert and sober in your judgement.
However, given the candidate chose we have before us I pray that you will make the same alert and sober judgement I did about competence, capability, and character, and will vote for Reverend Warnock.
Remember early voting starts on November 28th.
