Psalm 100 reminds us that we are the sheep of God’s pasture. Likening us to sheep is an excellent comparison because we have so many sheep-like tendencies. We are easily misguided; we are emotionally and physically vulnerable; we see the world with a short-sightedness that promotes fear, division, and racism.
In the midst of this sheep-like craziness, The Lord is our shepherd. Giving direction to the misguided, strengthening our vulnerabilities, and providing vision to overcome fear, division, and racism.
God provides his sheep with a pasture a place of peace, a place of joy, and a place of love. New Bethel has been a pasture for God’s sheep for 152 years. Join us tomorrow as we celebrate our church anniversary. I will be preaching from Palms 100 in a sermon entitled: “We are the sheep of God’s pasture.” Sunday School is at 10:00 AM ET, Worship is at 11:00 AM ET join us either in-person or on Facebook at NBCDUBLIN.
So, until tomorrow, blessings, peace, and love.
