You know a myth is a a widely held but false belief or idea. Myths abound in our lives; however, the question is do we believe them?
There is a myth about the Peace of Jesus. It’s easy to believe that Jesus is all about people coming together with no drama, no conflict, and no division, and that is the myth.
Jesus says in Luke 12:49 that
I’ve come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already ablaze! Then in verse 51 he asks the question 51Do you think that I came to bring peace on earth? Not at all, I tell you, but rather division!
The myth about the Peace of Jesus it that our savior knows and wants us to understand that to follow him means that drama, conflict, and division, will come to our lives --- and with it comes the true peace of Jesus.
