Julie Driger is the interim of Mayor of Dublin, Georgia.  The longtime elected official who has serviced on both Dublin City Council and the Laurens County Board of Commissioners became mayor when now-former Mayor Phil Best retired after serving the city for almost 30 years.

Mayor Driger is the first woman and the first African American to hold the position.   She will serve until a new mayor is elected in November of 2021.

The mayor joins The Podcast for a conversation recorded on the porch at her home to talk about her life, her career in politics, and her hopes for the people and the city of Dublin.
