When we are faced with a stressful situation, our body does one of two things:
Perceives it as a threat OR perceives it as a challenge. That is determine on your perceived demand of the stressor vs. your perceived ability to handle them.
When those things are aligned, you perform at a high level. When they are completely mismatched, you fall apart.
This is seen a lot in athletics. You expect something to be easy and when it's not, you panic and your performance suffers.
Today I break down WHY that happens and what you can do to use your perspective to drive high performance in all areas of your life.
