Over the last few months, I have sat down and talked to amazing physicians, counselors, and other individuals who have been vulnerable and shared a side that may be they have not shared with many. Burnout has been the topic, but also spirituality, grieving, how burnout can affect relationships with our loved ones, including ourselves.
I wanted to reflect on what I have learned via interviewing these amazing human beings!
Each person has a creative side. We are more than just physicians.
We are creative beings.
Some have written a book, started a podcast, started a coaching business. And quite frankly, that is still within the realm of medicine but in a nontraditional sense.
-Know your worth.
-Practice self care.
-Boundaries are important,
-It is okay to say no.
-Be your authentic self.
-Get help. You are worth it.
Though I am a physician, this is not medical advice. This is only a tool that physicians can use to get ideas on how to deal with burnout and/or know they are not alone. If you are in need of medical assistance talk to your physician.
