Let's continue our study of prepositions. (I'm confident we'll finish before my hundredth birthday.) In this lesson we'll work with the very useful preposition "at".
- I'll meet you at Sally's house. It's at the corner of Pine Street and Sixth Avenue.
- She is always at home at night.
- His dog growled at me. I barked back at him and he was so surprised he ran away.
- He's at work but please don't call him. He's probably asleep as usual.
- The city was at the mercy of the cybercriminals.
- Because we're old friends, I'll sell you this junk car at cost.
- I always laugh at her jokes even though they're not funny. Why? She's my boss, that's why.
- We were speeding along at 99 kilometers per hour. The motorcycle passed us like we were standing still.
- Juan is poor at math but he doesn't care. He's majoring in English.
- The soup and sandwiches at that restaurant are excellent.
