Let's continue our study of prepositions. (I'm confident we'll finish before my hundredth birthday.) In this lesson we'll work with the very useful preposition "at". 

  1. I'll meet you at Sally's house. It's at the corner of Pine Street and Sixth Avenue.
  2. She is always at home at night.
  3. His dog growled at me. I barked back at him and he was so surprised he ran away.
  4. He's at work but please don't call him. He's probably asleep as usual.
  5. The city was at the mercy of the cybercriminals.
  6. Because we're old friends, I'll sell you this junk car at cost.
  7. I always laugh at her jokes even though they're not funny. Why? She's my boss, that's why.
  8. We were speeding along at 99 kilometers per hour. The motorcycle passed us like we were standing still.
  9. Juan is poor at math but he doesn't care. He's majoring in English.
  10. The soup and sandwiches at that restaurant are excellent.
