Description

A few weeks ago, we celebrated the 4th of July and its homage to freedom. And, yet, individually and as a nation it feels like we are living through convulsions and trauma, not unlike Luke’s story of the Garasene demoniac (Luke 8:26-39).  In this episode, we focus on how the practice of persistent incarnate love for God and for neighbor can restore us to our right minds. Jesus took on the empire and the traumatized community. Jesus also, in incarnate love, met the trauma of a man and brought healing. That man returned home to tell a story about what God has done in Christ Jesus.

Our music director Nate Strasser brings us two pieces of music in this episode, an arrangement of "Be Still My Soul" and an original composition based on today's theme and scripture passage.
