This week's episode of Ghana in Focus looks at the disturbing trend of Ghanaian youth leaving Ghana in search of 'greener' pastures.

This is in the light of a report from the Thematic Report on Migration 2021 which revealed that the majority of Ghanaians that are leaving Ghana are aged between 20-49 years of age.

We explore some of the reasons why many Ghanaian youth are seeking to leave Ghana.

We also talk of some of the consequences of  this migration if nothing is done to curb this.

We give suggestions as to what the government can do in order to stem the tide of migration out of Ghana.

We end by warning potential migrants that the West is NOT a land of milk and honey given the recession that Europe and America are in coupled with the cost of living crisis, high costs of rent and food and more importantly the rampant anti Afrikan racism.
