Taking us back to the basics by sharing my top kitchen tips with you. If you’re newish to home cooking, or are trying to get more into it,  these tips are  great places to start!

  1. Mise en place, "everything in it’s place."
  2. Ensure your pan is HOT before you begin sautéing
  3. Use an instant-read thermometer (the one I love)
  4. Select the proper sized pan (my go-to is a 12" stainless steel All-Clad) 
  5. Keep your knives sharp
  6. Salt meat, then let it rest
  7. Salt as you go!
  8. Use unsalted butter, always
  9. Recipes are a suggestion, experiment and have fun!
