The HOW's and WHY's of beginning a Quiet Time routine:
- Schedule quiet time in the same spot as your previous nap time
- Go over ground rules and expectations with your child
- Incentivize with treats / rewards
- Work your way up to 60 minutes slowly
- Set your child up in the same manner as you previously would for a nap
- Provide them with quiet activities
- Set a timer (The Time Timer and / or Hatch Rest)
- Stay patient!
