I used to feel very awkward when people around me would be sad, angry, frustrated, filled with shame, or disappointed. I could give them a hug, but beyond that, I either wanted to get far away from them and their dark space or I tried all my tricks to get them out of the ‘bad mood’ they were in. None of this was really helpful for me or them.
