Working in the mines is a dangerous job, and during World War Two the Chinese men found their shared mine taken over by the Japanese army. The laborers being forced to work in horrendous conditions, long hours, and being beaten when they did not comply was not the worst thing that these men had coming. But it would be an explosion that would not have had such a high death toll, if proper evacuation measures would have been taken.
