Settling down and spreading our roots were a lot harder than it is now. There were natives everywhere and it was hard for us to find natives that accepted us on their land. But what happened when we attempted to settle somewhere and we ran out of food? The natives would only be nice for so long, because all we were giving them in return was diseases.
