As we took time this week here in America to honor the service members that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country, sharing this week’s guest and her incredible mission seems right on par. It is our privilege to introduce Air Force Veteran, disability rights and endometriosis advocate, Anita O’Daniel @akod_1208
In this episode Anita shares with us her personal experiences with the healthcare system that is tied to veteran care and what has lead her to advocate change and seek a degree to help make those changes. We discuss the importance of resources for vets and the disabled community as well as what inspired her to pursue a degree in deaf education.
Anita takes it one step further and bravely shares her personal battle with Endometriosis and how a (rarely talked about) surgery has changed her life.
We are honored to share Anita’s experiences and knowledge of this illness in hopes that together it brings awareness, empathy, and education to everyone. But also to spread empowerment and hope to those who are living with Endo!
We are so inspired by Anita’s giving heart and her drive to help and advocate for all those around her! She is a beautiful definition of I Am Power!
