A child’s world view, including injustices and triumphs, starts within the family of origin-- and that mothers are often responsible for shaping it. From parenting a child with special needs to advocating for individuals with disabilities, Dionna has a life-long calling of building up vulnerable communities to help them be the best version of themselves. Dionna at 37-years-old was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The mother of three began to evaluate her priorities, self-care and began establishing boundaries at home and at work -- by leveraging the power of her voice.
Her own experiences as well as the reality of aging made her shift from working for others to establishing her own missions and goals. She was able to launch a new professional course with the help of coaches, one of whom inspired her to give herself a retirement date. All of these shaped the life coach that she is today, with the primary goal of empowering women working outside or inside the home.
A few tippets she shares include being able to control and navigate work-life balance; bringing your family and support system onboard; boundary management; reaching out for help; listening to your body; paying attention to your relationships and a whole lot more.
