Description

Jim Young had thrived through 25 years of what most would consider a colossal corporate success and yet he would later realize that was not the most valuable job or position for him. Being a great Dad to his three children is what he personally valued the most. And when the company showed no willingness to make the adjustments he desired, he decided it was time to go. Hence, a day before July 4th four years ago, he took a decisive and symbolic exit from the corporate world. Since then, he ventured out into coaching, especially men. But it was the pandemic stress and burnout bandwagon which made him realize that what he's been doing all along is actually burnout coaching.

Highlights:

Through his personal experience, backed up by research, Jim found out that being in a leadership position and being a man means twice the taboo to be vulnerable, to be honest about one's own fears, and hence result in burnout. And since men are supposed to be know-it-all and can-do-it-all rather than emotional and vulnerable, Jim is here to say that it is okay to be or to feel otherwise. He works with individuals, leaders, teams, and organizations to help more men get out of the shadows and speak out. He elaborates more on this through his book, Expansive Intimacy: How "Tough Guys" Defeat Burnout. You can learn more about him and his causes at www.centeredcoach.com
