My gal pal Rach is on the pod today! How dang fun to have people in your life that just make you better as a person and are so multi-faceted that you just love to peel back the layers and learn more about them and from them. The pod is called Every Mom Needs a Friend, and I really think every mom does need a friend like Rachel.
But to be clear here, we could've talked about a hundred things we love to do and share together but one of the ways we crossed over in our friendship is a love of bread and really just enjoying all types of food in general. And Rachel was the one that taught me to make sourdough, broke off her starter, and answered my multiple FaceTime calls as I worked through some flops and some really pretty outcomes.
If you've never made sourdough bread, let this inspire you! I am not a natural in the kitchen and this seemed intimidating at first.. but not anymore! I've since been able to bless others with breaking off my starter and teaching them and there's not many things more satisfying than slicing hot bread straight from the oven and smothering it in butter and cheers-ing your cutie hubby or your fun dinner guest. And this a great hostess gift, too! Economical for your wallet and an intentional way to bless others.
Okay, I truly could go on about how breaking bread with others is literally straight from the Bible.. NBD just doing the Lord's work out here!
