Do you ever think about all the things that seem unfortunate about the Christmas story? Like Mary having to travel on a donkey when pregnant. Or not being able to find a place to stay in Bethlehem. Or birthing baby Jesus in a barn?!
The Christmas story looks VERY different from our modern day birth plans, doesn't it?
But when I believe that God is sovereign (check out the Sovereign episode for more details on this topic), then I believe that every. single. detail. of the Christmas story are actually purposefully divine details.
