Listen

Description

As many of you know, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Twice a year the leadership of our church (our Prophet and Apostles, and other leaders) conduct what we call a General Conference, a conference for anyone who would like to hear the messages they have prepared to the general membership of the church.  During their messages, often times we will hear the word "should".  Now, for me, that word should can trigger a lot of anxiety.  When I hear the word should, I often think it means, "I have to" , or "I am not doing enough.  I have to do more, and more, and more".  It creates so much anxiety for me when I have these thoughts.  But today I want to share something that I have discovered, for myself, that might help you, especially if the word "should" creates so much anxiety for you.

I have come to really enjoy these conferences by making this one little shift.

If hearing all the "shoulds" this weekend seems overwhelming, then let's talk and figure out what you are making that word mean for you.  Who knows, you might come to enjoy listening to General Conference so much more!
