In this episode I discuss what resisting and avoiding my anxiety looked like for me just the other day. Most days I am able to acknowledge and process the anxiety I wake up with, but this time it was very intense. My anxiety was trying to tell me something and I just wasn't listening. Instead, I kept pushing through, thinking that I had too much to do to and coulnd't wast any time. The only problem was, the more I pushed, and avoided the anxiety, the less I could get done.
The anxiety I felt was like a toddler, who wanted my attention, and when I wouldn't give it that attention, it got louder and louder. It was only after I consciously made the decision to listen, that my anxiety started to disappear.
What is your anxiety trying to tell you? Sometimes we can understand it, and sometimes we cannot, and that is where I come in. I believe that there are several resources to help with anxiety management, coaching being one of those tools. Coaching gave me
more tools to help me understand the anxiety I feel in a way that makes sense to me.
Maybe you feel like you are all alone in this struggle. I know I did. But I want you to know that you are not alone. We can work through this together.
