Description

No matter what the event, I like to have a plan.  It's not that I am in love with planning, but having a plan in place gives me peace of mind and keeps anxiety at bay.  I have always believed that when you are prepared you will not fear or panic.  My brain loves to spend a lot of energy and time trying to plan for EVERY possible thing that could go wrong.  That's what brains do.  They try to keep us "safe", and safe for me feels like making sure I have covered all the possibilities.

But here's the deal.  There is no possible way that your brain will KNOW everything, and sometimes you will find  yourself facing something that just wasn't in the plan.  So what do you do?  In this episode I will share my recent experience with this very thing and what I learned from it.  I will also share three tips on what you can do to keep things in perspective when things don't go according to plan, one of which came from a recent speech given by Rebecca Craven to the students at BYU.  Here is the link to that speech: https://speeches.byu.edu/speakers/rebecca-l-craven/
