Coach Chinedu Nwachukwu’s Story:
In this episode, you'll hear from Coach Chinedu Nwachukwu. Chinedu is currently an assistant coach for Jerrod Calhoun at Youngstown State University. At 18, Chinedu knew that he wanted to be a coach when he was a student assistant coach for John Beilein at Michigan. While he was assisting the Michigan program, he was also coaching girls basketball in the Ann Arbor area (Freshman Basketball & AAU). Young Coaches: do you want to coach at the Division I level? Then Coach Chinedu is your guy. His incredible journey: Student Assistant at Michigan, GA at the University of Findlay, Assistant Coach at Saginaw Valley State, Director of Operations at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Director of Player Personnel at Michigan and now Youngstown State. Chinedu shares detailed breakdowns of what he learned at each opportunity. It is fascinating to learn how some of the coaches in Chinedu’s life have made such an impact in creating his own coaching persona. Chinedu has worked really hard to get to YSU.
