Today I want to talk about a couple of simple tools that I use all the time to increase my own gratitude and to share that gratitude with others.
The first one is a simple list at the end of each day. Every night I write down three things I am grateful for in my life or from that day. It can be the big things like my children or my health, or it can be small things like hitting green lights on the way to work or something delicious I had to eat that day. If you do this everyday for even a week, you will see your mood and your gratitude increase.
The second thing is to spread gratitude with notes. Try grabbing a simple card and writing a short note to someone expressing how grateful you are to have them in your life. It’s such a small gesture but the effect can be huge.
Try these tools this week and keep on doing it to boost your gratitude and the gratitude of others and extend that great feeling way past this week of Thanksgiving.
