Mikaela Shiffrin is another of the champions at the Kindness Wins Foundation who is working to spread the message of kindness and positivity across social media. She is currently the most decorated woman in downhill skiing with several Olympic medals and World Cup championships.
In 2020 she lost her father in a freak accident at home. She and her dad were incredibly close and she had to fly home from Italy to Colorado to lay in the hospital bed with him while he lay on life support.
Shiffrin recently shared her story of grief in The Players Tribune, giving anyone who cares to read it an insight into her world and a powerful message of how difficult grief can be. In this act of vulnerability she is allowing others to connect with her story and to bring healing to herself and others who might relate so I wanted to share a bit of her story on today’s short.
