Description

I would love to hear from you, just send me text and let me know what you think of the podcast.

A few weeks ago I got to go back to New York for a special alumni baseball game with player of the past. While I was there I sat down and talked with several former players and today I bring you a couple of great conversations with Hall of Famer Lee Smith and former utility man Craig Grebeck.

Smith had 478 saves in his career and those weren’t just one inning saves, he pitched back when guys pitched more than an inning. We talk about robot umpires, brushing guys off the plate and how a save doesn’t just come in the 9th inning.

Craig Grebeck went to Lakewood high school and had a solid 11 year career with 5 different teams, the first six years he was with the Chicago White Sox. We talk about how he learned by just observing and listening to veteran players and how his old hitting coach taught him to never give away an at bat or a hard day's work.
