Garaudy Etienne is the Lead Product Manager for the world's most popular next-generation database, MongoDB. As an immigrant from Haiti, he obtained his Aerospace Engineering degree from Princeton University and his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Garaudy speaks about the lack of diversity and representation in the Aerospace and Technology space and how he is making a difference to change that by hiring more diverse talents in his team.
He has contributed to several corporations such as Amazon, Trip Advisor, Northrop Grumman in his career. Etienne is usually the only Black engineer in the room which is the reason that he is one of growing wave of IT pros leading the difficult work of eradicating racist language from tech tools and open source projects.
