Description

What’s not to love about affiliate marketing? If you get it set up correctly, it’s a way to make a little extra money without having to do a whole lot of anything.

In the past, it had a bit of an unethical reputation, with people promoting whatever products would get them the most money. But as businesses all over have recognized the worth of personal recommendations, companies are increasingly interested in building relationships with their communities. As an example, I have been publishing a Holiday Gift Guide on my FUMS website for several years, and this is now so popular that I leave it online all year round. It’s a win-win situation, both for me, the companies that I promote, and the end-user because I only include items that I genuinely value!

If you’re interested in the idea of affiliate marketing but don’t know where to start, my guest today is Jay Clouse, community experience director for Pat Flynn’s Smart Passive Income. We talk about what affiliate marketing is, how people can use it as part of their business, and - also - how much they can make.

Creator and host of the Creative Elements podcast, Jay wants to help you build a life of creative independence, giving you the freedom to invest your time and creative energy into projects that you choose. He is also a featured expert within the Patients Getting Paid Membership Community. Visit the website to find out more and join today!
