The "turning point" in the Battle of Saratoga took place at the hands of a bold, brash madman named General Benedict Arnold. On this very day October 7th, 1777 General Arnold rebelled against human authority and boldly led his men into the redoubt on Bemis Heights (located on Freedman farm). This act changed the Battle of Saratoga and was the major turning point in the War which resulted in freedom and liberty from a tyrannical government.
