- In chapter 9, Noah curses the Canaanites. Yet Abram consistently befriends Canaanites, blesses Canaanites, and goes out of his way to rescue people like Lot, who are associated with Canaanites. In New Covenant terms, Christian terms, what is Abram doing?
- What does Genesis 14 teach us about the bread and wine we receive from our Melchizedekian High Priest? What events precede Abram’s encounter with Melchizedek? What parallels can we draw to the New Covenant?
- What sort of “brotherly conflict” are you facing right now (work, home, church, extended family)? What wisdom and/or guidance can you glean from the example of Abram’s humility, godliness, and courage?
