Reflection Questions:
- Read Deuteronomy 19:15. Where else in the Bible do we see two witnesses being sent to scope out a wicked city prior to the city being judged and destroyed?
- The narrative arc of the story of Lot has a “Lot” to teach us about Christian perseverance. Jesus says as much in Luke 17:32. The fact that God has rescued us does not preclude us from having to follow Him and trust Him and stay within the sphere of His blessing. Even redeemed Christian people can find themselves in caves of their own making. Review the life of Lot (Genesis 12-19). What do you think were the most pivotal moments? How would you have counseled Lot in those moments?
