⚖️🎨 ✍️With a juris doctorate cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law, a Bachelor of Arts in fine art from Davidson College, and subsequent studies at Parsons School of Design in New York and Paris, Sarah Frances Hardy took an early retirement from practicing law to paint and write full time.

🖼 Sarah Frances’ paintings are characterized by vivid colors and expressive brushstrokes. She has exhibited her fine artwork in galleries throughout the Southeast as well as at a gallery in SoHo, and her work is included in many institutional and corporate collections. Most recently, Sarah Frances has redirected her creative juices towards writing and illustrating books for children. Her published works include PUZZLED BY PINK (Viking Children’s Books), PAINT ME!, and DRESS ME! (Sky Pony Press).
🗣An active volunteer, Sarah Frances has served as chair of the Historic Preservation Commission of Oxford, Mississippi, as well as president of the Friends of the Library at The University of Mississippi. She works with the Oxford/Lafayette Literacy Council, the OHS Theatre Arts Guild, the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and serves on the Board of Governors of the Mississippi Institute of Arts & Letters. Sarah Frances lives in Oxford with her husband, John, three daughters, and her dog Fig.
👧🏼👦Currently, Sarah Frances’s work is on display at the Mississippi Children’s Museum as part of the new Wonderbox exhibit, and she is thrilled to be featured in a commercial for Visit Mississippi.
