When I started in sales, my friends and I would all get our commissions on the 2nd Friday of each month.

We were so happy, and it made our week knowing we were getting those bonuses and spending them.

We started going to really nice steakhouses and talking about how we couldn't wait until next month.

These days were called "Commission check Fridays". It was a simpler time back then in my mid 20's, almost 20 years ago.

However, the reward we gave ourselves illustrated the need in sales to take a moment, celebrate, then get right back at it.
