It’s difficult to come down off of mountaintop experiences. But that is where we live most of our life—off the mountain, down in the valley, in a dark world. We fall into sin and into spiritual depression, and we think—if we could just get back up on the mountain where the glory and power are. Jesus teaches us that faith ascends the mountain, particularly through prayer.
