Description

Running a business with a chronic illness is no joke. Whether you suffer from a physical illness like Fibroyalgia or MS or a mental condition like PTSD or anxiety, these conditions add an entirely new set of challenges to the aspiring business owner.

And though I separated mental and physical above, the truth is that they often go hand in hand.

Throughout the years we’ve experienced:

👉Doctors, friends, and family members believing that whatever we’re feeling is in our head

👉The impression that most people aren’t struggling with these issues, so we are a burden asking for special treatment

👉The persistent feeling that if we could just get everything sorted and order in our business, we could finally rest cause everything would be under control

And so we push through. Some days we ignore the pain and just try to get as much work done as possible. Others we cry in bed or in the bathroom wishing we could just get it together to do one thing on your list.

Here’s the thing. Feeling this way as a business owner blows, but it also can be a thing of the past. The reason we struggle this way is because almost ALL of the content you read out there about running a successful business is written for the able bodied world. Not unusual that we get left out.

BUT that also means that there’s an alternative. Join me today as we talk about what it means to be a badass business owner with a chronic illness, and how you can reclaim that feeling of confidence with a small shift in perspective.

Note: This is a LIVE recording of the Stop Shoulding all Over Yourself podcast with a Q&A after! Please ask your questions while we’re recoding and we’ll go through them at the end!
