💰 What is the Price of Success?
When you think about your goals when you first started your business did you consider the price you would have to pay to achieve them?
Until about 5 years ago I never had. All I knew was that I wanted to achieve goals, and the price didn't matter - I never thought about it. Neither did any of my clients or my peers. We knew we had GOALS, but when it came time to talk about paying for what it would take to achieve them - it was always about the dollar amount.
💸 How much to pay for a course or a new piece of software?
💸 Do you need to hire contractors, a VA or someone to help you?
💸 How much are you making/spending, and what’s your profit margin?
These are all WICKED important questions, and critical for a successful business. But they all focus on ONE type of payment. The CASH kind.
What none of them address are the hidden costs to running a business:
😭 The incredible loneliness and fear of failing that consumes your thoughts.
⌚ The time not spent with friends, family, and engaging in the life you’re working so hard for
💊 The physical and mental toll it takes on your person
Now I realize the time with my family, the general self care days, hobbies, the things that I love doing in addition to my job - those things are important too.
The problem is I wanted to be able to do ALL OF THESE THINGS at 100% capacity, I wasn't interested in prioritizing, 👉🏽 simply figuring out how to push through it all and achieve.
Everything became a priority. And when that's how you approach business, nothing gets done, and you don't hit any of your goals. And perhaps you find yourself in a place where you aren’t hitting your goals, but you’re still paying the price. And you’re not sure how to fix it.
In this week’s episode we’ll cover the approach I’ve used with my students and clients to help them create real clarity around their goals and the identify their price - so they can move forward with a confident plan, instead of worrying about what happens next.
