Description

Vayu is the vehicle of intimacy with the body, mind and spirit. Breath is Vayu in its gross form. The natural characteristic of breath is movement and yoga is the process of ceasing of the breath. During pranayama, when breath ceases, the mind ceases. This moment of the ceasing of the breath and the mind is called Kewal Kumbhak. The point of Kewal Kumbhak can be experienced in moments of wonderment, joy, passion. It is the point where the mind enters the heart. This is the moment of joy, the place of dwelling or home. An archer holds his breath while releasing his arrow - by doing this, he stills his mind and is able to connect the body, mind and intellect.

The body has five dimensions. In this episode, Bharat examines how yoga helps us experience these five dimensions.
Energy and vitality with pranayama
Clarity and discrimination with pratyahara
Relief from the binds of personality with dharana and dhyana
Moving upwards to ultimate bliss through samadhi
