Sam Rivett is a 27 year old Mama to her daughter Charlotte and currently studying to become a counsellor. In such a short time Sam has experienced so much adversity and pain that she has had to navigate through these tricky times while learning how to be a first time Mum.
In this Episode we discuss her idyllic childhood and upbringing and how some elements have affected her relationship with money, budgeting, personal loans & debt.
We discuss her journey into motherhood and her experience with Postnatal Depression & becoming a single mother with a newborn baby. We chat about the changes that come with becoming a parent and how her priorities have shifted over the last 2.5 years.
Sam explains her separation from her partner and how they were able to rebuild their relationship and create loving environment for their daughter.
Finally Sam talks about the darkest time in her life, dealing with the divorce of her parents, serious mental health issues and the affects that this has on her to this day; Resulting in a PTSD diagnosis.
Sam shares her hopes for the future, her goals and the kind of parent, partner & friend she aspires to be!
