No, we are not offering a case against giving. In fact, we are very pro-giving where there is need, and giving from our abundance. We are giving a biblical case against a mandated tithe from Christians. There is not one verse in the entire new covenant that calls any person to give a mandated tithe.
You're going to discover that you are free in Christ to give as you feel lead to. You're going to discover that some people are givers, or others are called to be receivers.
