In this episode, we decided it would be fun to update everyone about what we've been up to heading into the holiday season.

Here's a look at what we decided to share.

We've begun scheduling and recording guests that we align with.

Doing new things creates discomfort, and that is where the magic happens! We've talked a bunch about growth and figured it was time for us to challenge ourselves.

We have some amazing people we've already recorded with and a super dope lineup of people on the calendar.

Changes to our content approach.
When we launched this podcast, we didn't have an end goal in mind–honestly, we didn't have any plan. We dove in and viewed the project as a fun, creative outlet. Fast forward to today, we're watching the show grow and having more engagement with the audience (that's you!), so we've decided to focus more on creating content that we believe will inspire, entertain, and educate.

You can expect more video content as we've begun recording our episodes. We have been asked about YouTube content, and we're going to take a look at that also.

Preparing for the holiday season.
For Jen, this looks like continuing education with our team. Getting our assistants not only 'up and running' but confident in their ability to provide services to the Hello standard. As well as breaking down some of the 'why' we do things the way we do. On top of that are the logistics that the season brings. Being ready for the extra gift card sales, making sure systems are being executed properly by our staff, etc.

For Todd, this looks like supporting the staff and prepping them for opportunities they can expect. Continuing to increase our marketing efforts, such as this content here, bringing back our blog and social media in general.

We're bringing our staff to an event in Boston, MA, for a little thank you.

Growth.
We've had a huge year of growth at Hello.

Kayla loves doing manicures and pedicures. She's mentioned bringing nails to Hello for a bit, but the timing wasn't right until recently. We were evaluating some extra space that we had and decided to build her out a setup. She's happy, clients are happy, which makes us happy, too!

Emily is an amazing addition to our team! Emily is a suite owner who does lashes and waxing. She was looking to be around a team, and the fit was natural. She will continue to own and operate her suite in MA while offering services at Hello on Fridays.

Jen and Hello friend Kori, a salon owner in Concord, NH, collaborated on a haircut walk-in. Kori happened to be at Hello hanging out, and the opportunity presented itself. Jen's apprentice, Emma, was also able to get in on the work and pick some things up from Kori. This is the stuff Hello was built for!

Our team is expanding; we currently have 3 assistants in our program, with another joining after the new year. The program has been so amazing! We currently have a waitlist for assistant positions.

We have a few other seasoned professionals who are planning on joining the team, but since we don't want to blow up anybody's spot–we will leave it there for now.

Jen has been teaching a ton around the New England area. She's serving on an advisory board for a local high-school cosmo pro
