We have another listener recommendation this week! Our friend and friend of the podcast, Doug Shilo, recommended the 1999 romantic comedy Blast from the Past, starring Brendan Fraser and Alicia Silverstone. The Weber family has spent 35 years in a bomb shelter after mistaking a plane crash for the blast from a nuclear bomb. When the doors finally unlock, Adam ventures outside for the first time in his life to find provisions for the family, alcohol for this poor mother, and maybe a nice girl for himself.
