Description

Ordained Minister Dennis Hall and his guest Justin Bohner, Assistant Pastor, First Baptist Church, Highlands, North Carolina examine what God told us about the birth of Jesus through Old Testament prophets, hundreds of years before the event occurred. In Isaiah 7:14 it is foretold that a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son known as Immanuel. In the New Testament, Matthew and Luke write about this event that sets the stage for the supernatural life of Jesus, the supernatural resurrection, and the ascension to God's right hand. In Genesis 49 we are told to expect a descendent of Judah that all nations will bring tribute worship before him. In Micah 5 the prophet tells us that a ruler of Israel will come from Bethlehem. In Matthew 1 we are told that Jesus is from the seed of Abraham. God had entered into a covenant with Abraham and promised he would do seven things: I will make you a great nation. I will bless you. I will make your name great. I will make you a blessing. I will bless those who bless you. Those who curse you I will curse. In you, all the families of earth will be blessed. The seed of Abraham that blessed all of the nations was Jesus Christ. No event has impacted the world more than the birth of Jesus and God told us so  hundreds of years before the event.
